FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Dan Mondragon, the 15th head coach in Fairmont State men's basketball history, will be formally introduced to the University and Fairmont community during an introductory press conference on Wednesday, May 20 inside Joe Retton Arena of the Feaster Center.
The press conference will begin at 2:30 p.m. Members of the media, community members, fans and donors are encouraged to attend the press conference.

About Coach Mondragon:
Mondragon joins Fairmont State after spending the past two seasons as an assistant men's basketball coach at Mercer University. Coach Mondragon is no stranger to the Mountain East Conference as he was the head men's basketball coach at Davis & Elkins College for five years. He helped turn the program around that included its first back-to-back winning seasons since 1955. In 2022-23, he was named the MEC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year.
