STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Fairmont State University fell to East Stroudsburg University with a 6–0 loss on Friday at Creekview Park.
In the fourth inning, East Stroudsburg broke the deadlock with a four-run surge. The Warriors hit three singles along with an error that allowed runs to score. A subsequent error enabled two more runs to score, bringing the total to four for the inning. The score after four innings was 4–0 in favor of the Warriors.
East Stroudsburg added to its lead in the fifth inning. An RBI single and groundout increased the lead to 6–0 for the hosts.
The Falcons were unable to score for the remainder of the game, and the Warriors maintained their advantage. The final score was East Stroudsburg 6, Fairmont State 0.
Fairmont State finishes the season with a 38-15 record while going 23-5 in conference play.
