FAIRMONT, W Va – The Fairmont State men's golf team was slotted fourth in the Mountain East Conference Golf Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference announced on Tuesday (Aug 25) afternoon.
The Falcons totaled 73 total points in the preseason poll. The team is coming off a third-place finish in the MEC fall tournament and a qualification to the NCAA Division II Men's golf regional championship. Fairmont returns First Team All-MEC player

Charleston, the defending MEC champion received 97 first place votes and seven first place votes to land them in first in the preseason poll. Glenville state follows with 83 points and one first place vote and wheeling in third with 78 points and two first place votes.
The Falcons will kick off their season on Sept 4
th at the Vulcan Invite in California, Pa.
