FINDLAY, Ohio — Fairmont State University (2-0-0) secured a 2-1 victory over the University of Findlay (1-1-0) on Sunday at DeHaven Field. The Falcons capitalized on their limited opportunities, scoring two goals from just four shots on target.
The first half began with the Falcons gaining early momentum.
Regan Shockey capitalized off a corner kick in the 7th minute, giving the Falcons the lead. The Oilers quickly responded with a goal by Olivia Gayhart in the 10th minute, leveling the score.
The Falcons regained the advantage in the 33rd minute when
Sam Yuen, assisted by
Agnes Bjork, found the back of the net.
