Biography

As A Senior (2016): Fairmont State standout center fielder Courtney Iacobacci was named first team All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association, becoming the second FSU softball player to earn All-America honors (Holly Frampton, 2013) ... Iacobacci, the 2016 Mountain East Conference and CCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year, led the MEC in batting average (.456), slugging percentage (.867), on-base percentage (.530) and homeruns (19). Iacobacci also stole 10 bases this year, which made her the all-time leader in Fairmont State history. In addition to becoming the career leader in stolen bases at Fairmont State, Iacobacci also set six single-season records this season; including hitting percentage, on-base percentage, hits (72), home runs, runs scored (53) and total bases (137).
 

As A Junior (2015): Batted .296 (40-of-135) with seven home runs and 22 RBI as a junior … tallied 33 run scored and had a .533 slugging percentage on the season … recorded seven doubles, two triples and nine stolen bases … finished the year with 56 putouts, eight assists and just one error (.985 FLD%) as the starting center fielder for the Falcons … .351 on-base percentage … recorded a multiple home run game in game one against Glenville State (4/19) … had four multiple RBI games and 10 multiple hit games.

As A Sophomore (2014): Made 19 starts in center field before suffering a season-ending injury … batted .324 with three home runs and eight RBI … also had three doubles and 14 runs scored … recorded a .457 slugging percentage … stole three bases and did not committee an error in the field … hit a solo home run vs. Millersville in the season opener (2/22) … followed it up with a solo home run against Slippery Rock later in the afternoon … batted 2-for-4 and stole a base against East Stroudsburg (3/14) … went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI against Kutztown (3/15) … batted 2-for-4 with two runs scored vs. Lock Haven (3/16) … drove in two runs and stole a base in game one against Edinboro (3/20) … batted 3-for-7 with two doubles and two runs scored in a pair at Concord (3/22) … also stole a base against the Mountain Lions … recorded an RBI against Shepherd (3/27) … missed the second half of the season due to injury.

As A Freshman (2013): WVIAC Freshman of the Year ... first team All-WVIAC ... second team All-Atlantic Region ... WVIAC All-Tournament team ... started all 49 games in center field for the Falcons ... finished first on the team and second in the WVIAC with a .420 batting average out of the leadoff spot for FSU ... her .420 batting average is also a single season record at Fairmont State ... had three home runs and 27 RBI ... tied for second in the conference with 15 doubles ... also had a team-high 44 runs scored ... finished the season with a .605 slugging percentage and .466 on-base percenatage ... set a single season record with 68 hits ... tied the school record with 16 steals as a freshman ... did not committ an error as the starting center fielder ... finished the season on a 22-game hitting streak ... had 20 multiple hit games ... went 2-for-2 with a stolen base against Bowie State (2/15) ... hit an RBI single and stole a base at St. Andrews (3/13) ... batted 5-for-6 with an RBI in a pair of games vs. Shaw (3/13) ... had an RBI against Shippensburg (3/15) ... batted 3-for-4 with a double against IUP (3/17) ... hit an RBI single in game two vs. Edinboro (3/23) ... doubled in game two vs. Charleston (3/29) ... doubled two in a pair of games against WV State (3/30) ... stole two bases in game one at Concord (4/7) ... had a pair of RBI against Salem (4/10) ... doubled and tripled in game two vs. Wheeling Jesuit (4/13) ... homered with two RBI in game one against West Liberty (4/14) ... tripled in both games vs. Shepherd (4/17) ... doubled twice at Ohio Valley (4/20) ... homered and doubled with four RBI in a pair of games at Glenville State (4/21) ... doubled twice in game two vs. Seton Hill (4/23) ... had a pair of RBI and stole two bases in game two at Davis & Elkins (4/26) ... batted 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI in the first game of the WVIAC Tournamant against Wheeling Jesuit (5/2) ... hit a solo home run in game three of the Tournament against WV State (5/3) ... hit an RBI double in the second game of the Tournament Championship (5/4).

Before Fairmont State: Played softball and basketball for four seasons at Walsh Jesuit High in Ohio ... led her team in RBI, fielding and slugging percentage as a junior ... led the Warriors to a district championship in 2011 ... named a Stark Summit All-Star and received golden glove honors as a junior ... was second of her team in home runs and had a .584 slugging percentage as a senior ... also won a league, district and regional championship as a member of the basketball team.

Personal: Courtney Lynn Iacobacci ... birthday is Feb. 20 ... daughter of Mark and Barbara Nori ... father was a four-year member of the football team at Boston College ... one of three children ... plans to major in physical therapy.
