Trad Sokol

Trad Sokol joined Phil Caruso’s staff as pitching coach for the Falcons in 2016. Prior to his coaching career, Sokol was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 1997 as a 26th round pick in the Major League Baseball Draft.
 
Sokol played in the Brewers organization as a member of the Ogden Raptors in 1997 in the Pioneer League. A season later, he moved on to the Helena Brewers for the 1998 season.
 
For the next two seasons, he played for the Cook County Cheetahs in the Frontier League. Midway through the 2000 season, he was called to the Northern League’s Winnepeg Goldeyes and remained there for the rest of the season. From 2001-02, Sokol also spent time on four different rosters, including the Tyler Roughnecks, Rio Grande Valley White Wings, Berkshire Blackbears and Brockton Rox.
 
As a varsity baseball player at Jefferson High School from 1993-95, Sokol played under head coach and FSU alumnus John Lowery from 1993-95 and won a West Virginia AAA State Championship in 1993. He also played under FSU head coach Phil Caruso at Frederick Community College in 1996 before being drafted by the Brewers.
 
Sokol started his baseball coaching career at Jefferson High School in 1999 as a Volunteer Assistant before taking over as head JV coach at Broad Run High School in 2000.
