Alex Jones enters his first season as the Director of Football Operations on Jason Woodman’s staff at Fairmont State.
As Director of Football Operations, Jones will handle all team travel needs and will assist in team fundraising efforts and camps throughout the year.
Jones served as an Athletic Operations Intern at Fairmont State during the 2017-18 athletics season, assisting and managing game day operations for home football, basketball, volleyball, soccer and acrobatics & tumbling.
While obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree in Sport Management from Baldwin-Wallace University, Jones served as a football operations intern for two National Football League franchises, including the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns. He also served as an event and operations intern at BWU during the 2015-16 academic year.
Jones has also volunteered at numerous professional sporting events; including Super Bowl XLIX, Super Bowl 50, Super Bowl LI, the 2017 College Football Playoff, and the 2017 Outback Bowl.
Jones earned his Bachelor’s of Arts in Sport Management from Baldwin Wallace in 2017. He graduated with a master’s in Sports Administration/Management from West Virginia University in the summer of 2018.
