Ben Rodgers enters his fourth season as a member of the Fairmont State football staff, serving as running backs coach and video coordinator during the 2020 season.
In his first season as running backs coach in 2019, Rodgers helped the Falcons average 231.8 yards per game on the ground, which ranked 20th in the country and second in the Mountain East Conference. Two running back also earned All-Mountain East Conference honors in 2019, including first-team selection Tyree Randolph and second-time standout Khalik Hamlin. A Fairmont State running back also went over 1,000 yards on the ground for the second-consecutive season in 2019 as Randolph capped the year with 1,003 yards and 10 TDs.

In 2018, Rodgers served as offensive quality control coach and was assistant offensive line coach. Last season he helped produce one of the top offensive fronts in Division II football as four of the five starters earned All-MEC honors along the offensive line. Fairmont State ranked 23rd in the country in rushing offense and allowed just eight sacks a season ago.

Rodgers joined the Fairmont State coaching staff in 2017 as an offensive qualify control coach and video coordinator.

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Rodgers was a member of the first-ever Alderson Broaddus football team in 2013. He was a three-year letterwinner and was a member of the 2016 Great Midwest Athletic Conference Championship Team in 2016.

He earned a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Sport Management from Alderson Broaddus in May 2017. Rodgers is from Follansbee, West Virginia.
