Tyler Bolen enters his first season as Running Backs Coach at Fairmont State after serving as an assistant coach at Greensboro College during the past two years. Bolen was also a standout quarterback and defensive back at West Virginia Wesleyan from 2013-16.

Bolen most recently served as Quarterbacks Coach and Passing Game Coordinator at Greensboro College during the spring of 2018. During the 2017 season, Bolen served as Safeties Coach and Video Coordinator.

As a player at WVWC, Bolen was a quarterback for his first three seasons before switching to safety as a senior for the Bobcats. He was also a multi-sport standout at nearby Parkersburg South High School, earning all-state honors in football and all-conference honors in basketball.

Bolen received a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Physical Education and Health (’17) while at West Virginia Wesleyan College.
