Josie Daugherty joined the Fairmont State women's basketball coaching staff in 2023. She will be serving as a graduate assistant coach for the program and working towards her master's degree in Special Education.
Daugherty returns to Fairmont and was a former Fairmont State women's basketball student-athlete, Daugherty donned the Fairmont State uniform for two seasons (2017-18 & 2018-19) and appeared in 32 games. She completed her undergraduate studies at West Liberty University and earned her degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education.
Daugherty was a standout basketball player at Wheeling Park High School and she returned to coach at Wheeling Park for four seasons after graduating from West Liberty. She is the daughter of Jenna and Chris Daugherty and has two younger sisters (Natalie & Danielle).
