FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State University will host Glenville State College in a men's and women's basketball doubleheader on Monday evening at Joe Retton Arena to kick off the holiday week. The women's game will tip at 5:30 p.m. and will be followed by the men's contest at aproximately 7:30 p.m.
Tickets will be available at the gate in the lower level reserved seating area for $10, in the general admission (upper level) seating area for $8 and youth and senior citizens can get a $6 general admission (upper level) ticket. Youth five-and-under will be admitted free. FSU and Pierpont students will also be admitted free with a valid ID (ID must be present for entry).

Women's Basketball Notebook- Fairmont State has opened the season with a 5-0 start for the first time since the 2006-07 season when the Falcons won their first seven games.
- Hailey Garrett is leading the Falcons early in the season, averaging 17 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Garrett has made 59 percent of her field goal attempts (32-54) and 91 percent of her free throw attempts (20-22) this season.
- Garrett is closing in on the Fairmont State top 10 scoring list with 1,356 career points in her FSU career. Garrett needs 98 points to move into 11th in school history by passing Kamela Meikle.
- Garrett is also 10th in Fairmont State history with 745 career rebounds, trailing Rita Rhodes by 20 rebounds in the ninth position.
- Emily Lohr is second on the team in scoring and rebounding this season, averaging 15.4 points and 7.4 rebounds through five games this season. Lohr has made 16-of-24 three-point attempts (.667) and has led the team in rebounds in each of the last two games, including a career-high 14 against WV Wesleyan on Saturday.
- Lohr is currently seventh in the Fairmont State record book with 106 career three-pointers. With 12 more threes, Lohr will pass Erica Rome for sixth in school history. Lohr's .371 three-point field goal percentage is also seventh in a Fairmont State career.
- Four different FSU players have recorded a double-double this season, led by Hallie Gunnoe with three in the first five games. Gunnoe is also averaging 15.2 points per game.
- The Falcons have 100 assists on 140 made field goals this season. Six different FSU players have 11 or more assists this season led by Emily Puskarich with 24.
- Amanda Ruffner has provided a huge lift off the Fairmont State bench, averaging 9.6 points and six rebounds in 22.8 minutes per game this season.
- FSU has lost five-straight games to Glenville State, dating back to the 2011-12 season. The Pioneers also lead the all-time series between the programs 25-32 (first meeting was in 1979).
Men's Basketball Notebook- Fairmont State will look to snap a two-game skid against Glenville State when the Pioneers visit Joe Retton Arena in a Mountain East Conference showdown on Monday night at 7:30 p.m. The Falcons hold a 91-56 series record over the Pioneers, dating back to the 1925 season.
- The Falcons opened MEC play with a 66-57 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon in Buckhannon.
- A different player has led FSU in scoring in each game this season. Nick Harney led the Falcons with 21 points and seven rebounds in Saturday's victory over Wesleyan. Wil Martinez scored a season-high 22 points for the Falcons last Saturday (11/15) in a victory over West Chester.
- Four players are averaging double figures for the Falcons, led by Wil Martinez at 13.7 points per game. Nick Harney (13.0), Thomas Wimbush (12.3) and Jamel Morris (10.0) are also averaging double figures.
- Caleb Davis is the leading rebounder for the Falcons, pulling down 5.7 per game. Shammgod Wells (16) and Brandon Vega (12) lead the Falcons in assists.
- The Falcons have been out-rebounded by six in each of the last two games. However, the Falcons have won the turnover battle in every game this season.
- FSU is averaging 28 points in the paint and 21.7 points off turnovers in its three victories this season.
- The Falcons also have nine players averaging at least 18 minutes per game this season. Caleb Davis averages the most minutes at 25.3 per game.
