FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State dropped a 3-0 decision to nationally-ranked West Virginia Wesleyan on Thursday night at Duvall-Rosier Field to halt the Falcons two-game winning streak.

The game was evenly-played in the opening half as the teams went to the half with a scoreless tie. The Bobcats (12-0-2, 10-0-2 MEC) held a 10-3 advantage in shots in the opening half but the teams were nearly even on the offensive attack.

In the second half at the 68:07 mark, Melissa Guydish broke the scoreless tie by getting the ball past the goalkeeper in the right corner of the net. Kristi Dalton recorded an assist on the first goal of the game.

Tiana Bennardo and Colette Biondi both added goals in the final 10 minutes of the game for the Bobcats as Wesleyan picked up the 3-0 win. WVWC was on the offensive attack for much of the second half and held a 14-2 advantage in shots. Half of Wesleyan's shots in the game were on goal.

The Falcons were limited to five shots in the game, including just one on goal in the loss.
Courtney Webb recorded the only shot on goal for FSU.
Shawna Graham recorded nine saves in the FSU goal.

FSU will remain at home and host Concord on Sunday a 2 p.m. at Duvall-Rosier Field.
