URBANA, Ohio – Fairmont State defeated Urbana, 3-0, in straight-sets to pick up its 10
th win of the season on Friday evening. The Falcons had a .255 attacking percentage while the Blue Knights compiled a .122 percentage.
The Falcons also held a 6-2 advantage in blocks in the victory. Senior
Erin Harwood finished the match with a team-high eight kills and nine digs.
Courtney Kress and
Mackenzie Harrison each chipped in seven kills apiece for FSU. Setter
Jessica Furda guided the Falcon offense with 29 assists and seven digs and freshman libero
Megan Clerico tallied 14 digs in the match.
Breanna Blot led the Falcons around the net with five total blocks and Harrisons slammed home four blocks.
Urbana was led by Madison Davis with nine kills in the loss. Mary Hendricks had a team-high 28 assists and 14 digs in the match.
The Falcons will now travel to Notre Dame College for a 6 p.m. match on Saturday evening.
