The Matchup• Fairmont State and Notre Dame College will meet for the third time on Saturday afternoon at Mueller Field in South Euclid, Ohio. The teams have split the first two meeting in the series with NDC picking up a 42-35 victory over FSU last season in the 2014 season opener. The first meeting in the series came back in 2010, when the Fairmont defeated NDC, 38-0, in Notre Dame's first season as a D2 program.
• Saturday will be Fairmont's first-ever trip to South Euclid.
• Fairmont State is now 4-3 on the season and has won four of its last five games. The 4-3 start for FSU is the best since 2011, when FSU started the year with a 5-2 mark before finishing the season 7-4.
• With a win on Saturday at NDC, FSU can lock-up at least a .500 record for just the second time in the last eight seasons.
• Notre Dame and Fairmont State have both defeated West Liberty and UVa-Wise this season.
• In last year's matchup, Fairmont State turned the ball over seven times in a loss to Notre Dame.
• Wide Receiver
Fabian Guerra had an FSU record 247 yards receiving on 13 catches in the loss. He had more receiving yards than any receiving at all three levels of college football that weekend. Guerra also had a 55-yard touchdown reception in the game.

Cooper Hibbs completed 30-of-57 pass attempts for 415 yards and four touchdowns against Notre Dame a season ago. His 415 yards is tied for the fourth-highest single-game passing performance in school history.
• NDC quarterback Ray Russ went 21-of-40 passing for 333 yards with three scores and an interception.
Fairmont State Quick Hitters• FSU receiver
Fabian Guerra has hauled in a touchdown reception in six of the last eight games dating back to last season. Guerra has caught 44 passes for 594 yards and five touchdowns this season.
• Guerra moved into seventh-place in school history with 1,731 receiving yards in his three-year career. Guerra needs just 183 yards to move into sixth place on the all-time yardage list, passing Larry Goodline (1,913, 1972-75)
• Guerra is also in eighth place in school history with 139 career receptions. He is just six receptions from moving into sole possession of sixth place.
• Seven different FSU players have recorded an interception this season and three have multiple interceptions. Inside linebacker
Marcus Porter has a team-high three interceptions this season for the Falcons and
Jacob Jean-Charles and
Emanuel Ivey each have two.
• FSU quarterback
Cooper Hibbs is completing 59 percent of his passes this season and has thrown for 1,706 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. Hibbs went seven weeks without throwing and interception before throwing his first of the season last week against UVa-Wise.
• Hibbs is currently third in school history with 5,079 yards through the air. He is also third in school history in both passing touchdowns (38) and completions (408).

Johnny Dearstine needs just three more PATs to move into second in school history, passing John Huff in the category.
• Dearstine also needs just one field goals to become the all-time leader in school history with 28 in his four-year career.
A Look Inside The Statistical Rankings• Fairmont State is first in the Mountain East and fourth in the country in total turnover this season (5).
• The Falcons are No. 2 in the MEC in third-down completion percentage (46.6).

• FSU's offense has fumbled the football six times and lost four. The school record for the fewest lost fumbles in a single season is five and was set in both 1959 and 1960.
• Fairmont also became the last team in the MEC to suffer an interception this season when Virginia Wise's Andre Hamilton picked off a tipped
Cooper Hibbs pass Saturday midway through the fourth quarter.
• Hibbs threw 224 passes this season without suffering an interception. Dating back to the 2014 season, Hibbs threw 238 consecutive passes without an interception. He played in six games for FSU last fall before a season-ending injury sidelined him for the final three contests. His last interception prior to Saturday came on Oct. 25, 2014 on the last play of the first half for FSU in its come-from-behind 35-31 win over Urbana University.
• The FSU school record for the fewest number of interceptions thrown in a season is two and was set in both 1952 and 1959. In both of those seasons the Falcons only attempted 40 total passes as a team.
• Fairmont State's defense has forced 10 fumbles and recovered six this fall. The Falcons have also recorded 11 pass interceptions. Ironically all 17 of FSU's takeaways this fall have come in the last five games – a span in which Fairmont State has compiled a 4-1 record.
Scouting The NDC Falcons• Notre Dame College enters Saturday's matchup at 3-5 overall and 3-4 in the Mountain East Conference.
• The Falcons are currently on a two-game, winning-streak after defeating West Liberty in a shootout, 59-51, last Thursday at West Liberty.
• The NDC offense is led by duel-threat quarterback and current MEC Offensive Player of the Week Malik Grove. Grove threw for 499 yards and tallied four total touchdowns in the victory over the Hilltoppers.
• On the season, Groves has thrown for 2,244 yards and 15 touchdowns. He has also rolled-up 602 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.
• DJ Greene leads the ground attack for the Falcons with 727 yards and nine touchdowns.
• Mitchell Shegos is to top playmaker for the Falcons with 58 receptions for 734 yards and five touchdowns. Shegos is third in the league in receiving yards per game (91.8) and second in receptions per game (7.3).
• The NDC defense has returned two interceptions for touchdowns this season. The team has nine total interceptions this season and 20 quarterback sacks in eight games.
• Linebacker Zach Chatlain leads the Notre Dame defense this season with 84 total tackles, 2.5 sacks and an interception.
• The NDC defense has forced 13 turnovers this season.
