FAIRMONT, W.Va. – Fairmont State picked up a three-set victory (25-16, 25-17, 25-23) over Notre Dame College on Friday evening in Mountain East Conference action at Joe Retton Arena.
With the win, Fairmont State improves to 18-7 overall and 9-2 in the MEC. NDC falls to 2-20 overall and 1-10 in the league.
Courtney Kress finished the match with a team-high 12 kills and a .526 attacking percentage. Kress had 10 of her 12 kills in the second set.
Kaitlyn Witsaman also reached double-figures with 11 kills and 11 digs. In addition,
Mackenzie Harrison had a strong night on the attack with eight kills and a .357 attacking percentage.

Megan Clerico recorded a team-best 14 digs while
Erin Harwood chipped in 10 to go with eight kills. Setter
Jessica Furda tallied 43 assists to guide the FSU offense.
NDC was led by Lindsay Shirilla with six kills in the match. Tawnia Almaraz (14) and Shelby Regiec (11) led the NDC Falcons in receiving and Tawny Flareau had a team-best 14 assists.
The Falcons will return to action tomorrow at 1 p.m. when Urbana visits Joe Retton Arena.
