SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- A touchdown pass from
Cooper Hibbs to
Devon Garnett sealed the 33-24 victory for Fairmont State at Notre Dame College on Saturday afternoon, guaranteeing at-least a .500 season for the Falcons in 2015.

With the win, FSU improves to 5-3 overall and in the Mountain East Conference. NDC slips to 3-6 overall and 3-5 in the league.

Hibbs completed 25-of-37 passes for 298 yards and a pair of touchdowns to lead the Falcons in the victory. Hibbs also rushed for a one-yard touchdown on the ground.
Fabian Guerra hauled in eight passes for 100 yards in the victory to lead all FSU receivers.
Brandon Boyd just missed the 100-yard mark with 97 yards on six catches. Boyd scored the first touchdown of the day for the Falcons, hauling in a 24-yard strike from Hibbs at the 4:06 mark of the opening quarter.

On the ground, the Falcons were led by
Austin White, carrying the ball 28 times for 105 yards and a touchdown on the afternoon.

The FSU offense outgained Notre Dame, 416-350, and held a seven-minute advantage in time of possession.

Defensively the Falcons were led by
Jacob Jean-Charles with eight total tackles, including one for a loss, and a pass break-up.
Jerry Iweh also chipped in eight tackles for the FSU defense.
Marcus Porter picked-off his fourth pass of the season and returned it 42 yards.
Calvin Pringles also intercepted a pass as the FSU defense forced three turnovers in the victory.

After leading the NDC offense to 59 points and throwing for 499 yards a week ago, Malik Grove was limited to just 176 yards on 13-of-28 passing. Grove also rushed for 20 yards and a score on the ground and threw an interception. Wide receiver Mitchel Shegos caught six passes for 101 yards to lead all NDC receivers. DJ Greene led the Notre Dame rushing attack with 162 yards on 25 carries and a pair of rushing touchdowns.

The NDC defense was led by Zach Chatlain with 16 total tackles, including 14 solo. Eric Pringle also chipped in 10 total tackles (nine solo).

The Falcons will be on a short week as nationally-ranked Shepherd comes to town on Thursday night for the Mountain East Conference Game of the Week. Kickoff is set for 7:10 p.m.
