SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Fairmont State picked up its eight-straight victory with a five-set win (25-23, 19-25, 25-22, 21-25, 15-12) over Shepherd on Tuesday evening at Shepherd.
The Falcons were led by
Mackenzie Harrison with a team-best 15 kills and five digs in the victory. Senior
Courtney Kress added 12 kills for the Falcons and
Kaitlyn Witsaman chipped in nine. With her nine kills, Witsaman has now recorded 1,000 career kills in her volleyball career at Fairmont State.
Setter
Jessica Furda totaled a team-high 43 assists in the victory while libero
Megan Clerico totaled 20 digs defensively.
Breanna Blot added a team-best three blocks for FSU around the net.
The Falcons will host 70's Nights on Friday evening when West Liberty comes to town for a 6 p.m. match at Joe Retton Arena. All fans are encouraged to dress in their favorite 80's attire.
