GLENVILLE, W.Va. -- Glenville State outscored Fairmont State, 55-33, in the second half on Monday evening to pick up an 89-76 victory over the Falcons at the Waco Center. The Pioneers shot 47.5 percent from the field in the second half after managing just over 28 percent in the opening half.

The loss is the first of the season for the Falcons, as FSU slips to 4-1 overall and 1-1 in the Mountain East Conference. The Pioneers improve to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the league.

Amanda Ruffner's fifth 20-point performance of the season was not enough to lead FSU to the victory as the current MEC Player of the Week finished with a double-double by also pulling down 10 boards to go with her team-high 20 points.
Katie Nunan also chipped in 16 points as FSU scored 44 points in the paint.
Gabrielle Etter also chipped in 12 points, 11 of which came in the opening half, while
Deidra Combs recorded 11 and Mackenzie White added 10.

After going to the locker room with a 43-34 lead, The Falcons committed 15 of their 25 turnovers in the second half and also went 0-of-8 from behind the arc in the final 20 minutes.

Glenville State held a 55-48 advantage on the glass and limited its turnovers in the second half to just six to pick-up the come-from-behind victory. The Pioneers also had a 23-12 advantage in points off turnovers.

Paris McLeod scored 20 points to lead the Pioneers in the victory. Glenville also got 16 points from Tayana Stewart and 13 apiece from Aanise Barnes and Brittany Jackson. Courtney Davis pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds.

FSU will now be idle until Tuesday, Dec. 1 when Salem International visits Joe Retton Arena for a non-conference matchup.
