GLENVILLE, W.Va. – The Fairmont State women's volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 victory over Glenville State in the final road match of the 2015 regular season, beating the Pioneers in straight sets, 25-11, 25-16 and 25-15.
The Falcons (21-7, 12-2 MEC) had twice as many kills (40-20) and held a 9-4 advantage in blocks during the win.
Mackenzie Harrison was the only player with double-digit kills in the match with 10 to go along with seven digs.
Kayla Smith also chipped in six kills and
Kaitlyn Witsaman added five.
Jessica Furda tallied a match-high 27 assists and
Megan Clerico led the Falcons defensively with 13 digs.
The Falcons had a .293 attacking percentage in the win, including .385 in the opening set that the Falcons won by the score of 25-11.
FSU will now be idle until Friday at 6:30 p.m. when UVa-Wise comes to town for a conference matchup. The Falcons will also host Concord on senior day this coming Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at Joe Retton Arena.
