FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State throttled Bluefield State by 60 points (105-45) on Wednesday evening at Joe Retton Arena to wrap up its second-consecutive undefeated mark in non-conference action.

The 60-point victory is the second-largest margin of victory in school history and the Falcons also set a school record with 33 assists in the victory.

The Falcons were led in the victory by a career-high scoring performance by
Emily Puskarich, drilling 8-of-11 three-pointers and scoring 26 points. Puskarich also dished out eight assists and recorded four steals for FSU.

Makenzie White also recorded her first career triple-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in the victory. White went 4-of-4 from the field and also did not commit a turnover in the game.

The Falcons also got 14 points and five assists from
Gabrielle Etter, 13 points from
Amanda Ruffner, 12 points, eight rebounds, five assists and five steals from
Deidra Combs and 10 points from freshman
Rachel Horn off the bench.

FSU had a near-flawless performance offensively in the win, shooting 56 percent from the field (42-of-75), 51.6 percent from three (16-of-31) and knocked down 5-of-6 free throw attempts. The Falcons also held a 36-14 scoring advantage in the paint, outrebounded the Blues 37-36 and recorded 44 points off turnovers and 14 fast-break points in the blowout win. Defensively, the Falcons forced 31 Bluefield State turnovers.

The Blues (1-9) were led by a double-double performance by Tanasia Blake with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Janae Williams (11) and Tierra Richberg (10) also reached double-figures for BSC.

The Falcons will now break for the Christmas holiday to spend time with their families. FSU will return to action on Monday, Jan. 4 with a 5:30 p.m. tip against UVa-Wise.
