VIENNA, W.Va. -- Fairmont State cruised to a 104-74 victory over Ohio Valley in non-conference action on Tuesday night in Vienna.

The Falcons forced 26 turnovers and scored 38 points off-turnovers to pick up the victory. FSU also drained 15 three-pointers for the second time this season and pulled down 20 offensive rebounds that ended with 25 second-chance points on the opposite end.

Matt Bingaya led five FSU players in double-figures with 21 points and eight rebounds. Bingaya was 7-of-9 from the field and 4-of-5 from behind the arc and score 18 of his points in the opening half. The Falcons also got 17 points from
Jason Jolly, 15 from
Thomas Wimbush and 13 from
Vonte Montgomery and
Shammgod Wells. Wimbush pulled down a team-best nine rebounds and Jolly passed out four assists.

The Fighting Scots (2-7) were led by David Sinickas with 17 points on 6-of-11 from the field. Darryl Walker recorded a double-double for Ohio Valley with 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. The Scots held a 52-50 margin on the boards.

For the game, the Falcons shot 39.5 percent (34-of-86) from the field and 38.5 percent from behind the arc. OVU shot 37.9 percent from the field but struggled from behind the arc, making just 5-of-19 attempts. FSU outscored the Scots, 36-26, in the paint and had 50 bench points in the win.

The Falcons will return to action on Saturday afternoon when the defending national runner-ups visit Joe Retton Arena for a 4 p.m. tip.
