NORTH CANTON, Ohio – Walsh University scored two goals in each period on Saturday evening to top Fairmont State, 4-0, in its first-ever Division II soccer game in non-conference action.
The Falcons struggled offensively on the afternoon, being limited to just two shots on goal. Walsh recorded 18 of its 30 shots in the opening half of the game as Walsh quickly jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the 2:34 mark of the opening period.

Stephanie DeLawder both recorded shots for the Falcons.
Shawna Graham (0-1) recorded 11 saves in the FSU goal.
Jessie Gearhart scored both of the first half goals to lead Walsh on offense. Michaella Stucky (1-1) recorded the shut-out victory in the Walsh goal.
The Falcons will open up Mountain East Conference play on Tuesday evening when they travel to West Virginia Wesleyan for a 7 p.m. contest in Buckhannon.
