BUCKHANNON, W.Va. -- West Virginia Wesleyan recorded 10 shots on goal, scoring twice, to defeat Fairmont State 2-0 on Thursday evening at Culpepper Field in Buckhannon.

With the loss, Fairmont State falls to 2-11-1 overall and 0-11-1 in conference play. The Bobcats improve to 9-1-3 overall and 8-1-3 in the league.

In total, the Bobcats took 24 shots in the victory, with 10 on target. Fairmont State was held without a shot. Wesleyan also held a 5-1 advantage in corner kicks.

Wesleyan's Audrey Barber scored from 15 yards out just three minutes into the game for the Bobcats and Haelly Ramirez put the game away with a goal off a deflection in the 66
th minute.

The Falcons will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to Concord for a 1 p.m. kickoff. FSU returns home next Thursday to host Urbana at 7 p.m.
