ATHENS, W.Va. -- Colleen Newsome's goal in the 81
st minute tied the game as Fairmont State women's soccer battled to a draw against Concord University on Sunday afternoon at Anderson Field in Athens.

Newsome's goal, the first of her Fairmont State career, was tapped in off a rebound following a save by the Concord goalkeeper.

Concord scored just nine minutes into the game when Karley Poff scored on a shot from the left side of the box that was set up by a pass from Joanna Aiello.
During the overtime periods, both teams recorded three shots apiece before the game ended without a second goal scored by either side. The draw is the second of the season for the Falcons (2-11-2) and fourth for Concord (3-7-4).

Concord dominated the game offensively, recording 25 shot attempts compared to just eight for the Falcons. The Mountain Lions had eight shots on target during the match, seven of which were turned away by
Shawna Graham in the FSU net.

Courtney Webb led the Falcons on the attack with three shots attempts on the afternoon.
Harley Boyd and Newsome added two shots apiece for FSU on the offensive end.

Fairmont State will return home on Thursday evening when Urbana comes to town for a 7 p.m. MEC matchup.
