ATLANTA, Ga. -- The Fairmont State baseball team continued to roll through the opening weekend of the 2016 season by picking up a pair of victories over Voorhees College, 11-4, 16-0, on Saturday afternoon.
Â
The Falcons were once again led by their strong hitting as
Adam Meeker and
Brooks Carr both hit home runs on Saturday, giving the Falcons eight bombs in their first four games.
Â
Meeker went 4-of-7 with a home run and six RBI on Saturday to lead FSU at the plate. The Falcons also got three RBI apiece from
Austin Norman,
Alex Levitan and Carr.
Nic Rush and
Scott Hessler were both 3-for-3 on the day, with Hessler driving in two runs.
Â
The Falcons also got two strong pitching performances on Saturday, starting with

Â
The Falcons will now be idle until March 5 when they travel to Wilson, N.C. to face Aquinas, Kutztown and Clarion.
