AVON, Ohio -- The Notre Dame College pitching staff helped down Fairmont State in a pair of victories in games three of four of this weekend's Mountain East Conference doubleheader in Avon, Ohio.
In game one, NDC pitcher Cam Fuller tossed the second no-hitter in Notre Dame College history to help down Fairmont State, 2-0. Fuller struck out six and did not walk a batter during the no-hit pitching performance.
Game one of the day was a pitching-duel as FSU starter
Logan Johnson allowed just two hits and one earned run in the loss. Johnson also struck out six batters in the start for Fairmont State.
Notre Dame College also picked up a 5-1 victory in game two, as the only run of the game for Fairmont came from
Alex Levitan on a stolen base that resulted in an unearned run for the Falcons.
Levitan batted 3-for-3 in game two and was the only FSU player to cross home plate.
The Falcons will now be idle until next Saturday when Urbana comes to town for a four-game series at the Bridgeport Recreation Complex. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
