FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Courtney Webb's penalty kick goal in the 66
th minute proved to be the difference in a 2-1 victory over Alderson Broaddus for the Fairmont State women's soccer team on Saturday evening.

The win improves Fairmont State's record to 2-0 on the season, matching last season's win total. ABU falls to 0-1 on the season.

Gabi Mascaro gave the Falcons a 1-0 lead at the 35:36 mark on a free kick from the left side of the net. Mascaro scored the goal above the Alderson Broaddus goalkeepers save attempt in the upper left corner of the net.

Alderson Broaddus' Mikayla Oliverio tied the game early in the second half with a shot into the bottom left corner of the goal.

In the 66
th minute following a Battler foul, Webb scored her fourth goal in the last two games on a penalty kick that provided the game-winning goal.

Alderson Broaddus held a 17-6 advantage in shots, including a 5-4 advatage in shots on goal. ABU also had a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks.

Shawna Graham improved to 2-0 on the season by recording four saves and facing 17 shots in the win.
