Student Promotion
Through the 2016-17 season, all secondary and elementary aged students will receive a free general admission ticket to Fairmont State men's and women's basketball games. In addition, all parent or guardians that accompany any secondary or elementary aged children to the game will receive half-price admission when purchasing general admission tickets.

- Fairmont State will look to win its fifth-straight home game on Thursday evening when Concord comes to town for a Mountain East Conference matchup. On Jan. 5, the Lady Falcons picked up a 70-54 win over Concord in Athens.
- In the win, FSU shot over 50 percent from the field in the second half and got a team-high 16 points from Deidra Combs.
- Last Saturday, FSU used a 21-7 scoring advantage in the second quarter to put away West Virginia Wesleyan (85-63).Â
- The Falcons shot 44 percent from the field and dominated the paint by a 46-12 margin in the win.
- Senior Amanda Ruffner became the 27th player in Fairmont State women's basketball history to go over 1,000 career points against the Bobcats, scoring a team-high 25 points in the win.
- Fairmont State has four players averaging double-figures in scoring, led by Amanda Ruffner at 16.3 points per game. The senior has scored in double-figures in nine of the last 11 games.
- Makenzie White is just 13 points away from scoring her 1,000th career point as a member of the FSU women's basketball program. White is second on the team in scoring (14.3) this season and is leading FSU in rebounds (7.4) and assists (4.5).
- In addition, with one assists on Thursday evening, White will move into 10th place in school history in assists.
- Emily Puskarich (26) and Deidra Combs (115) can also reach the 1,000 points mark in scoring this season.
- Puskarich has moved into fourth-place on the all-time made three-point field goals list with 209. Puskarich needs 18 more three-pointers to pass Kaitlin Snyder to move into third place in FSU history.
- The Falcons are currently tied for fourth place in the 12-team Mountain East Conference with a record of 10-8 overall and a 7-5 mark in league play. WV State, also 7-5 in the league, dropped its only game with FSU this season (101-64).
Scouting Concord
Concord has struggled this season at just 2-14 overall and 1-11 in MEC action ... Concord's only MEC win this season came against Shepherd ... CU is losing games by an 11.3 point margin this season.

Fairmont State MBB Notebook | Feature: Thomas Wimbush: Fairmont's Dual Threat
- The second-ranked Fairmont State men's basketball team will look for a season-sweep of Concord on Thursday evening inside Joe Retton Arena. Back on Jan. 5, the Falcons picked up a 99-81 win in Athens after pulling away late for the double-digit win.
- The Falcons shot 56 percent from the field and got 24 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and three blocks from Matt Bingaya in the victory.
- The No. 2 Falcons remained undefeated by dropping 118 points in a home win over West Virginia Wesleyan last Saturday. In the victory, Shammgod Wells became the all-time school leader in steals (196).Â
- Fairmont's current 18-game winning streak matches Fairmont State's streak from back in 1998-99. That season, coach Butch Haswell's Falcons won 18-straight games, including the final 17 of the regular season. With a win on Thursday evening, the Falcons would have the longest winning streak in program history since FSU joined NCAA Division II.
- Fairmont State has now been ranked in 24-consecutive NABC regular season polls, including 21 weeks in the top 10 in the country. The Falcons have been ranked No. 2 in the country since Dec. 13, 2016 (six-consecutive polls). The Falcons have also been ranked as high as second in the country in each of the last two seasons.
- The Falcons are third in the country in scoring offense (98.7), fourth in steals per game (10.5), sixth in both assists (19.2) and field goal percentage (51.6), 11th in three-point field-goals per game (11.0) and 13th in scoring margin (16.1) this season.
- FSU has shot over 50 percent from the field in 12 of 18 games this season. FSU has also made double-digit three-pointers in 12 of 18 games this season.
- Shammgod Wells needs just 51 assists to become the all-time school leader in assists. Wells is in the top 20 in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio, assists and steals per game this season.
- Senior Matt Bingaya is just 11 points away from reaching 900 points in just two seasons as a member of the FSU program after transferring from Southern Miss. Bingaya's 66 percent field goal percentage this season is seventh-highest in the country.
Scouting the Mountain Lions
Concord is averageing 10.1 three-pointers per game this season ... Aaron Miller, Michael Sanchez and BJ Hamlet each have over 30 three-pointers this season ... CU is shooting 44% from the field and 36% from three.
