SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio -- Mackenzie Harrison broke her own single-match record of 35 kills on Saturday afternoon by driving home 38 kills in a thrilling five-set victory over Notre Dame College (18-25, 25-12, 16-25, 25-22, 15-11). In the victory, Fairmont State rallied from a 2-1 deficit by winning the fourth and fifth sets to improve to 11-6 overall and 3-2 in the league.

Following her performance, Harrison moved into fifth place in school history in career kills, passing Teresa Haggerty with 1,661 in her FSU career. The senior from Twinsburg, Ohio, needs just 16 kills to move pass Staci Skinner for fourth in FSU history and can pass Bri Swann for third in school history with 18 more kills.

In addition to her 38 kills in the victory, Harrison also added 12 digs, five total blocks and an ace to her stat line.
Emma Mobley also reached double figures for FSU with 11 kills.

Taylor Wisniewski also helped FSU to the come-from-behind victory with a strong performance around the net - totaling eight blocks.

Alexa Gore also set a new career mark for assists in the five-set victory with 62 to pace the FSU offense.
Megan Clerico recorded a team-high 14 digs defensively.

Notre Dame (7-12, 0-5 MEC) grabbed an early 2-1 advantage in the match by using a balanced offensive attack, getting 23 kills from Melissa Maczuzak, 17 from Natalie Spadaro and 15 from Mary Kate McHugh.

The Falcons will return to action on Friday, Oct. 13 with a road match at the University of Charleston. Opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
