FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State ran away with a 92-68 victory over Le Moyne in a vital non-conference showdown at Joe Retton Arena on Saturday afternoon. In the win, the Falcons shot 54.8 percent from the field (34-62) and made a season-high 17 three-pointers.

The Falcons now return to Mountain East Conference play with an 8-4 overall record. Le Moyne falls to 9-4 on the year.

The win is also the 28th-straight home win for the Fairmont State men's basketball team dating back to Feb. 18, 2016.

After Le Moyne took its only lead of the day (45-44) at the 16:34 mark of the second half, Fairmont State took control of the game by going on a 43-11 scoring run to open up a lopsided 30-point advantage. The Falcons used scoring spurts of 8-0, 11-0 and 16-0 during that stretch.

Fairmont State had five players reach double-figures in the win, and nine different players hit a three-pointer for the Falcons on the afternoon. Jason Jolly scored 18 points and passed out seven assists, while Caleb Davis tallied 18 points and seven boards. Davis has now reached double figures in five-consecutive games.

The Falcons also got 12 points and four rebounds from Kenzie Melko, 11 points apiece from Andrew Emrick and D'Ondre Stockman, and eight points apiece from Vonte Montgomery and R.J. Hutcherson.

In addition to Fairmont State shooting nearly 55 percent from the field, the Falcons also went 17-for-35 from three (48.6%) and 7-of-7 from the free throw line.

The Dolphins got a game-high 21 points from Tyquan Rolon and 11 points and five rebounds from Russell Sangster.
