SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -- Both teams scored an unassisted second half goal to lead to a draw between Fairmont State and Shepherd on Sunday afternoon at the SU Soccer Complex.

The result is the third 1-1 draw of the season for the Fairmont State women's soccer team, including the second in a row. FSU moves to 2-2-3 overall and 1-2-3 in Mountain East Conference action. Shepherd is also 2-2-3 overall on the year, with a 2-1-3 mark in league play.

Cameryn Ciresi put the Falcons on the board first in the 54
th minute with an unassisted goal – the first of her FSU career.

Fairmont State entered the final minute of the game with a 1-0 lead before Shepherd's Brianna Gorman scored with just 27 seconds remaining in regulation to send the game into overtime with a 1-1 tie.

Shepherd, who held a 25-12 advantage in shots on the afternoon, tallied an 8-2 advantage during the overtime periods. However, FSU goalkeeper
Shawna Graham turned away four of her 12 saves in the extra periods to preserve the third draw of the season for FSU.

Both of Fairmont's scoring chances during overtime came in the second ten-minute period, the first coming from Alexis Lindsey and the second from
Abigail Johnson. Fairmont State's
Katie Doyle also tallied a pair of shots on goal during regulation for the Falcons.

The teams combined for five yellow cards in a matchup that went right down to the wire.Â
Fairmont State will return to action on Wednesday evening with a 7:30 p.m. opening kick against Wheeling Jesuit at Bishop Schmidt Field. Wheeling Jesuit comes into the game with a 2-5 overall record, including a 1-4 mark in league play.
