EDINBORO, Pa. -- Fairmont State took both matches on day two of the Rebich Investments Invitational at Edinboro University on Saturday to finish the weekend with a 2-2 overall mark.

In their first match of the day, the Falcons got a team-high 18 kills from
Mackenzie Harrison and 12 from
Julia Shemaitis in a four-set victory over Lock Haven (25-21, 23-25, 25-20, 25-23). Setter
Jessica Furda put her senior teammates in good position most of the afternoon, recording a team-best 36 assists to go with two blocks.
Megan Clerico led FSU with 15 digs in the victory.

Later in the day, FSU put on a dominating performance in a sweep of the College of Saint Rose (25-11, 25-9, 25-14). In the win, the Falcons had a 12-1 advantage in aces, and recorded a .482 attacking percentage in three sets of play.

Harrison once again led the Falcons with 15 kills and three blocks in the win. Furda and Clerico once again led the Falcons in assists and digs with 30 and 10, respectively.

FSU senior right-side hitter, Harrison, was named to the Rebich Investments Invitational All-Tournament Team over the weekend, after totaling 91 kills, 51 digs and 10 total blocks to lead the Falcons. Harrison recorded a .317 attacking percentage and averaged 6.07 kills per set during tournament play.

The Falcons will now prepare for the Cal (PA) Vulcan Volleyball Invitational next Friday and Saturday, starting with a 3 p.m. match against Le Moyne on Friday afternoon.
