Student Promotion
Through the 2018-19 season, all secondary and elementary aged students will receive a free general admission ticket to all Fairmont State football games. In addition, all parent or guardians that accompany any secondary or elementary aged children to the game will receive an $8 general admission ticket.

The Matchup
- Fairmont State will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 20 when it hosts Glenville State in its 1 p.m. homecoming game at Duvall-Rosier Field.
- Fairmont State comes into the contest 5-2 overall and 4-2 and tied for second in the Mountain East Conference with both Shepherd and the University of Charleston.
- Glenville State is 3-4 overall and 3-3 in the MEC. The Pioneers will come to Fairmont with a two-game winning streak.
- Fairmont State leads the all-time series between the two schools 49-41-3. The Falcons currently own a four-game winning streak in the series, but all four of those victories have come by seven points or less.
- Sixth-year Fairmont State head coach Jason Woodman is 4-1 in homecoming games, including a current four-game winning streak in those contests.
- Fairmont State has won nine of its last 11 games dating back to last season. In addition, Fairmont State has suffered just nine losses in its last 38 games.
- During last season's win over Glenville State, senior placekicker Sam Keil tied a national record with six field-goals as Fairmont State knocked off the Pioneers 18-15 in overtime. The Falcons did not score a TD in the win.
- Fairmont State is coming off an impressive 38-17 win over Shepherd last Saturday at Ram Stadium.
- Fairmont became the first team to win a regular season game against Shepherd at Ram Stadium since Concord posted a 29-20 win over the Rams on Nov. 15, 2014.
- The 21-point setback was also the largest margin of defeat for Shepherd in a Mountain East Conference game. Since the MEC formed in 2013, Shepherd had lost just three league games by a total of a mere 12 points.
- The last time Shepherd lost a game by 20-or-more points was in 2015 when Northwest Missouri State defeated the Rams 34-7 in the NCAA Division II National Championship game. The last time Shepherd lost at home by 20 or more points was 28-7 to West Chester in the 2013 NCAA Division II Playoffs.Â

- The Fairmont State offense currently ranks third in the league in rushing (180.0) and fifth in the league in passing (225.3). Fairmont State's 31.9 points per game ranks fourth in the league.
- The Falcons lead the league and are 18th in the country in third down conversion percentage (.462). The Falcons have also turned the ball over just nine times this season and rank 24th in the country in turnover margin (15 gained, 9 lost).
- Khalik Hamlin enters Saturday's game with 146 carries for 822 yards and eight TDs to lead the Falcon offense.
- In last Saturday's victory over Shepherd, Hamlin racked up 27 carries for 111 yards and a career-high three touchdowns.
- Hamlin currently ranks eight in the country in total rushing yards (822), 11th in rushing yards per game, and 24th in rushing TDs.
Defensive Notebook
- Fairmont State's defense currently ranks sixth in the league against the run (144.4) and fifth in the league against the pass (196.1). Fairmont State is giving up just 19.6 points per game, which ranks second in the league in 30th in NCAA Division II.
- The Falcons have performed very well in the defensive redzone, allowing opponents to score on just 68 percent of attempts – which ranks 25th in the country.
- The Fairmont State defense has also forced 15 turnovers this season, including nine interceptions and six fumble recoveries.
- Fairmont State's defense held Shepherd to its lowest total of the season in points (17), total offensive yards (273), passing yards (217), rushing yards (56) and first downs (17) last Saturday as the Falcons rolled to a 38-17 road win over the Rams.
- Fairmont State's Michael Porter was named the MEC Defensive player of the week after recording five tackles, two pass break-ups and a 36-yard interception return for a TD against the Rams. Porter became the second Fairmont player to earn Defensive Player of the Week honors this season (Stephen Turner, Week 2).
