ELKINS, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State volleyball team stretched its win streak to three matches with a non-conference victory over Davis & Elkins College on Tuesday evening on the road.

After dropping the first set by a 25-23 margin, Fairmont State rolled in sets two, three and four with scores of 25-19, 25-22 and 25-9 to pick up the victory.

With the win, Fairmont State improves to 7-12 on the season. D&E falls to 7-13 overall.

Fairmont State recorded a .237 attacking percentage in the match, including a .423 attacking percentage in set four with just two errors to close out the match. The Falcons also held a 7-5 advantage in blocks, and a 5-3 advantage in service aces.

Bri Washburn and
Emma Mobley paced the Falcons with 13 kills apiece in the victory. Washburn recorded a .429 attacking percentage in the match, and Mobley added 19 digs to record a double-double.
Taylor Wisniewski also turned in a strong performance in the middle of the Fairmont State offense with six kills and four total blocks (three solo).

Four players finished with double-figure digs in the victory, led by
Julia DiPaola with 20. Lily Keber (27) and
Kelsey Moeller (16) guided the Fairmont State offense with double-digit assists in the win.

Kaitlyn LaCour and Lillie Mueller led the Senators in the setback with 13 and 12 kills, respectively.

Fairmont State will return to action on Friday evening with a 7 p.m. match at UVa-Wise in Mountain East Conference action.
