Through the 2018-19 season, all secondary and elementary aged students will receive a free general admission ticket to all Fairmont State football games. The Matchup

- Fairmont State will welcome Concord University to Duvall-Rosier Field on Senior Day Saturday, Nov. 3 for a 1 p.m. Mountain East Conference battle.

- Fairmont State is coming off a lopsided 41-12 victory over West Virginia State last Saturday on the road.

- The victory was the 31st for the Falcons in their last 40 games. It was also the eighth win for Fairmont State in its last nine meetings with West Virginia State.

- The Mountain Lions knocked off West Liberty last Saturday, 46-33, to snap a seven-game losing streak. Concord is 2-7 overall and 2-6 and currently in 10th place in the 11-team MEC.

- Fairmont State enters this weekend's matchup winners of four of its last five games.

- The Falcons also appeared in the NCAA Division II Super Region One rankings on Monday afternoon for the first time this season. Fairmont State checked-in at No. 10 this week.

- Fairmont State has won the last two meetings with the Mountain Lions, but prior to that Concord had won seven straight in the series.

- The Falcons have held Concord scoreless in their last two meetings recording a 28-0 win in 2016 and a 35-0 victory last fall.

- Fairmont State leads the overall series between the two schools, 45-35-2.

- Current Fairmont State head coach Jason Woodman served for two years as the wide receivers coach at Concord University during the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

- Khalik Hamlin is the first Fairmont State running back to go over 1,000 rushing yards since Doug Brazill back in 2007.

- The Falcons have performed very well in the defensive redzone this season, allowing opponents to score on just 70 percent of attempts – which ranks 27th in the country. 


Notables

- Balance has been one of the keys to Fairmont's success this season. The Falcons average 430.0 yards of total offense per game, including 206.8 on the ground and 223.2 yards through the air.

- Fairmont State running back Khalik Hamlin rushed for a season- and career-high 183 yards on 27 carries during last Saturday's 41-12 blasting of West Virginia State in Institute.

- After nine games this fall Hamlin, who is second in the Mountain East Conference in rushing and ninth in NCAA Division II, has 1,124 yards and nine touchdowns on 194 carries.

- His 1,124 rushing yards currently rank as the ninth-best single-season rushing performance by a back in Fairmont State history.

- In addition to leading Fairmont's rushing attack, the Falcon's offensive line has allowed just six quarterback sacks this season which is the lowest total in the Mountain East Conference. It's also tied for the seventh-lowest total in all of NCAA Division II.

- Takwan Crews-Naylor's 18 TD passes this season are tied for the eighth most in school history in a single season with Bryan Harman (2001) and Logan Moore (2010). He needs just 176 more passing yards to tie Vega for the 10th most passing yards in a single season in school history (2,140).

- Defensively, the Falcons locked down on the Yellow Jackets in the second half of last Saturday's game, allowing just 111 total yards and six first downs in the final 30 minutes of play. WV State possessed the ball for just over 25 minutes in the game.

- Fairmont State's defense ranks 14th in NCAA Division II in turnover margin at plus-9. The Falcons are also 19th in the country in points allowed per game (17.6), 34th in total defense (321.2), 39th in passing yards allowed per game (185.2) and 58th in rushing yards allowed per contest (136.0).
