FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State made quick work of West Virginia Wesleyan and earned a berth in next week's Mountain East Conference Volleyball Tournament with a 3-0 victory (25-20, 25-20, 25-16) over the Bobcats at Joe Retton Arena on senior day.
Prior to today's match,
Megan Clerico and
Sasha Sampson were honored by the Fairmont State volleyball program as the duo played their final match inside Joe Retton Arena.

Fairmont State (13-16, 7-9 MEC) will be the No. 8 seed in next week's MEC Tournament and will battle top-seeded Wheeling Jesuit at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening in the opening round. West Virginia Wesleyan's season comes to an end with a 7-21 overall record (5-11 MEC).

Sampson led the Falcons in kills with 11 in the victory.
Julia DiPaola also chipped in seven kills and
Emily Suppel added six in the win.
Rebecca Feeney led the Falcons around the net with eight total blocks (two solo) to go with four kills.

Kelsey Moeller paced the Fairmont State offense with 19 assists and Clerico notches a team-high 10 digs.

Emily Doyle led the Bobcats with seven kills and 11 digs in the setback.
