FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State dropped a 3-0 final (25-23, 25-12, 25-23) to Seton Hill University in non-conference action on Tuesday evening at Joe Retton Arena, the first of six-consecutive home matches for the Falcons.
With the win, Seton Hill improves to 8-3 on the season. Fairmont State slips to 4-9 on the year.
Seton Hill put on a strong offensive performance in the victory, recording 41 kills compared to just 13 errors in the match. The Griffins had a .257 attacking percentage in the win and also recorded nine total blocks and six aces.
Yvonne Fullerton led the way for the Falcons with match-high 10 kills to go with a service ace and a block assist. Bri Washburn also chipped seven kills and had a .368 attacking percentage in the match.

Sydney McCoy (10) both reached double-figure digs on the evening. Lily Keber and
Kelsey Moeller guided the Fairmont State offense with 17 and 14 assists, respectively.
Seton Hill used a balanced offensive attack, getting nine kills from Jillian Livorse, and seven apiece from Jessica Hansen and Leah Bisignani. Viktoria Farian and Erin Parks also chipped in six kills apiece for the Griffins. Taylor Sabol guided the Seton Hill offense with a match-high 21 assists, and Farian tallied 19 digs.
Fairmont State will return to the court next Tuesday with a home match against Shepherd University in Mountain East Conference action. The opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
