FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State used a balanced attack to down Alderson Broaddus, 3-1, in non-conference action at Joe Retton Arena on Tuesday evening (25-17, 25-18, 23-25, 25-10).

With the victory, Fairmont State improves to 8-10 on the year. ABU falls to 8-12 overall.

In the victory, Fairmont State finished the match with a .319 hitting percentage and committed just 12 hitting errors. Fairmont State also had four players with double-digit kills, led by 11 kills apiece from
Julia DiPaola and
Amelia Moore. The Falcons also got 10 kills and a team-high eight blocks from
Rebecca Feeney, and 10 kills and four blocks from
Taylor Wisniewski in the win.

Keara Lewis and
Emma Mobley each chipped in seven kills apiece.

Lily Keber helped paced the Fairmont State attack with 25 assists and 10 digs, and
Kelsey Moeller added 18 assists.
Bryce Knapp led the Falcons on defense with a team-high 16 digs, while Lewis added 14 digs in the win.

Fairmont State dominated the match statistically with a 56-47 advantage in total kills, a 12-6 advantage in total blocks, and an 11-5 edge in total service aces.

Ashlyn McDonald paced Alderson Broaddus with a double-double performance in the losing effort, recording 20 kills, 11 digs and four total blocks.
