GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Julia DiPaola and
Rebecca Feeney each tallied 14 kills to lead Fairmont State in a hard-fought, five-set loss (26-28, 25-17, 25-19, 18-25, 15-6) to Seton Hill on Tuesday evening in non-conference action.

The loss drops Fairmont State's record to 9-12 overall. Seton Hill improves to 10-8 overall with the victory.

Fairmont State held a 63-56 advantage in total kills during the match, but Seton Hill held a 12-7 advantage in total blocks and a 5-2 advantage in service aces. The Griffins also benefited from 29 Fairmont State errors in the match.

DiPaola finished the match with a double-double, racking up 14 kills and a team-high 24 digs in the setback. Feeney added 14 kills and four blocks.
Taylor Wisniewski also reached double-figures with 12 kills for the Falcons, and
Madison Chapman added a double-double performance with 11 kills to go along with 14 digs.

Lily Keber passed out a team-high 26 assists, while
Kelsey Moeller added a third Fairmont State double-double with 20 assists and 12 digs.
Bryce Knapp notched 17 digs for the Falcons.

Seton Hill's Viktoria Farian recorded a match-high 27 kills and 16 digs to lead the Griffins in the victory. Jillian Livorse also added 14 kills for SHU.

Fairmont State will return to action on Friday evening at Joe Retton Arena against Concord University. Friday Is Autism Awareness Night with the opening serve set for 7 p.m.
