FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State made quick work of Concord University in a 3-0 victory over the Mountain Lions on Friday evening at Joe Retton Arena. During the victory, Fairmont State hosted its first-ever Autism Awareness Match (

With the victory Fairmont State improves to 10-12 overall and 3-5 in Mountain East Conference matches. Concord falls to 6-15 overall and 2-6 in league play.

The Falcons had three players reach double-digit kills on the evening, led by
Rebecca Feeney with 12 kills and two blocks. Fairmont State also got 11 kills and three blocks from
Taylor Wisniewski, and 10 kills and 10 digs from
Julia DiPaola.

Madison Chapman recorded a team-high 15 digs to go with six kills in the win, while libero
Bryce Knapp chipped in 10 digs for the Falcons, defensively. Lily Keber guided the Fairmont State offensive attack with 41 assists and 13 digs to record a double-double.

Fairmont State had a .276 hitting percentage in the victory, compared to just .084 for the Mountain Lions. The Falcons also held a commanding 48 to 25 advantage in total kills.

Camryn Huber led the Mountain Lions with eight total kills in the setback, while Lindsay Maddox recorded a team-high 20 digs. Jenna Mounds passed out 13 assists on the evening.

Fairmont State will host Glenville State in another Mountain East Conference match on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
