FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State earned its second-consecutive sweep by downing Glenville State, 3-0, on Tuesday evening at Joe Retton Arena (25-20, 25-19, 25-16).

With the victory, Fairmont State improves to 11-12 overall and 4-5 in Mountain East Conference play. Glenville State falls to 3-19 overall and 0-9 in the league.

Julia DiPaola paced the Falcons by recording a double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs in the win. Ameila Moore just missed double-figures with nine kills in the victory.
Madison Chapman did a little bit of everything for the Falcons on Tuesday evening, finishing the match with seven kills, eight digs, three assists and two aces.

The Falcons also put together a strong performance around the net, holding an 11-to-3 advantage in total blocks.
Rebecca Feeney and
Taylor Wisniewski each chipped in five blocks apiece, while Moore tallied four blocks on the evening.

Bryce Knapp led the Falcons defensively with a team-high 18 digs, and Lily Keber paced the Fairmont State offense by passing out 31 of the teams 43 assists.

Fairmont State finished the match with a .250 hitting percentage and also held a 7-2 edge in service aces.

Fairmont State will return to action on Friday evening at Wheeling University. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
