WEST LIBERTY, W.Va. -- Fairmont State dropped a 3-0 decision (25-23, 25-21, 25-15) to West Liberty in Mountain East Conference action on Saturday afternoon at the ASRC.

West Liberty, who suffered a 3-1 loss to Fairmont State at Joe Retton Arena back on Oct. 5, had a strong offensive performance by recording 46 kills compared to just 10 total errors in the match. The Hilltoppers had a .295 hitting percentage in the win.

Fairmont State, on the other hand, had 38 kills and aided West Liberty with 22 total errors in the setback. The Falcons held a 5-2 advantage in service aces.

West Liberty also outperformed Fairmont State around the net with a 6-3 edge in total blocks.

With the loss, Fairmont State falls to 11-14 overall, including a 4-7 mark in MEC play. West Liberty improves to 15-11 overall and 7-4 in the league with the win.

Emma Mobley paced the Fairmont State attack with 10 kills, while
Amelia Moore chipped in seven kills.

Lily Keber led the Falcons in both assists (21) and digs (16) in the match, while
Julia DiPaola chipped in 14 digs and five kills for the Falcons.
Kelsey Moeller also tallied 10 assists for Fairmont State.

Madison Clayton paced West Liberty with 12 kills, while Mackenzie Sims added nine.

Fairmont State will return to action next Friday at West Virginia Wesleyan. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
