FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State women's soccer team wrapped up the 2019 regular season with a 1-0 victory over Frostburg State on Saturday evening at Duvall-Rosier Field during senior day.

The game was scoreless until the 83
rd minute when
Cameryn Ciresi netted a goal off a corner kick by
Angelina Kaylor that helped the Falcons wrap up a 12-win regular season. The win total is the best in school history.

Abigail Johnson and Ciresi played their final regular season game at Duvall-Rosier Field on Saturday evening.

Fairmont State will receive a first-round bye in the opening round of next week's Mountain East Conference Tournament, before hosting a semifinal on Friday at Duvall-Rosier Field. Seedings and game times will be released on Sunday night by the league office and host institutions.

Frostburg State wrapped up the regular season with a 6-11-1 overall record.

Overall, Fairmont State held the advantage on the offensive end of the field, holding a 10-5 edge in total shots, and a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal. The Falcons also had a 6-2 advantage in corner kicks.

In addition to Ciresi's goal, Welch also chipped in two on-target shots, while Johnson and
Abigail Fowler each totaled one shot on goal.

Taylor Kennedy continues to add to her single-season team record as the freshman wraps up the regular season with 11 total shutouts, including a shutout in each of the last four games. Kennedy recorded three saves in Saturday's win over Frostburg State.
