ATLANTA, Ga. -- Fairmont State rolled to a pair of lopsided victories on day two of the Peachtree City Baseball Classic, topping Virginia State 13-3 and LeMoyne-Owen 17-1 on Saturday afternoon in Atlanta.
 
With Fairmont State's 3-0 mark at the event, the Falcons have qualified for Sunday's championship game against Virginia State (2-1). The first pitch is set for 11 a.m. Sunday in Atlanta.
 
In the first game of the day on Saturday against Virginia State, Will Brown turned in an impressive pitching performance by striking out eight and allowing just two earned runs on three hits to pick up the win.
 
The Falcons had several contributors at the plate, led by Joseph LaRocca with a 4-of-5 performance with three runs scores and two RBI's. Zach Musgrove also added a 2-for-4 performance with a two-run home run and four runs batted-in against the Trojans.
 
Tyler Hill also added a 2-for-4 performance with a pair of RBIs, and E.J. Trickett went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
 
In game two of the day against LeMoyne-Owen, Logan Smith took the hill and provided five quality innings for the Falcons, allowing just one earned run and two hits. Smith struck out eight batters on the afternoon.
 
LaRocca continued his strong hitting performance in game two, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored. Texas Cobb also added a 2-for-3 performance with three RBIs, and Trickett went 2-for-3 with a pair of runs batted-in against LOC.
