Women's Soccer Welcomes Notre Dame College and West Virginia State to Duvall-Rosier Field

FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- After two victories over Wheeling and Alderson Broaddus last week, Fairmont State women's soccer is back in action tonight when they host Notre Dame College in Mountain East Conference action. FSU also hosts West Virginia State on Sunday in MEC play The Falcons enter the week with a record of 5-6-2 overall and 5-5-2 in the MEC with four matches left in the 2021 regular season.

Scouting Fairmont State

FSU women's soccer comes into tonight on a five-match unbeaten streak with three wins and two scoreless ties dating back to October 10 against Concord.

Kiera Kuzinski leads the Falcons in goals scored with seven and shots on goal with 29. Jessica Schneider follows with four goals in 10 matches played and Ari Christiansen and Tricia Lemaster each have two goals on the season.

Taylor Kennedy has started in all matches as the goalkeeper for FSU and has gathered 59 saves on the fall campaign. Kennedy possesses a .756 save percentage and three shutouts in the season.

Scouting Notre Dame 

NDC comes into Wednesday night with a season record of 4-6-3 and 4-5-3 in MEC play. Notre Dame took a 1-0 decision over Frostburg State on Sunday on their last time out and is 0-5-2 away from South Euclid.

Louis Follert is the main scorer for the Falcons with six goals and Sammy Salatino is right behind with five goals in 13 matches. 

Jordan Pasalaqua has started in all 12 matches in between the posts for NDC and has a save percentage of .826 and has a goals-against average mark of 0.95.

Scouting West Virginia State

West Virginia State is third in the MEC South Division with a record of 9-4-1 and 8-3-1 in conference contests. WVSU looks to bounce back on Wednesday night in Institute as they host West Virginia Wesleyan after a 4-3 setback against Davis & Elkins on Sunday.

Fran Soares-Cupertino is second in the MEC with 12 goals in 14 matches played and has two games where she found the back of the net multiple times.

Goalkeeper Laura Galindo has been the mainstay in goal for the Yellow Jackets with 13 matches started and comes into the week with 0.90 goals-against average and a save percentage of .750.

Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight with Notre Dame College at Duvall-Rosier Field.
