FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- Fairmont State's
Taylor Kennedy and the FSU defense earned their third clean sheet of the season as the Falcons battled to a 0-0 draw against Notre Dame College on Friday evening at Duvall-Rosier Field.

Friday's matchup featured two teams that had yet to give up a goal this season, and after 110 minutes of play, that statistics remains the same.

Kennedy faced 13 total shots in the contest, including six that were on-target and required a save. Notre Dame goalkeeper Jordan Pasalaqua faced 14 Fairmont State shots in the game, including seven shots on goal.

Fairmont State had several scoring chances in the offensive zone, including four on-target shots from
Kiera Kuzinski and two shots on goal from
Jessica Schneider.
Kellie Norris also had a shot on goal for the Falcons.

Notre Dame's Kalie Blaising challenged Fairmont in the offensive zone a few times on the evening, with three shots that were on-target.

In the final 20 minutes of play during regulation, Fairmont State had two excellent scoring opportunities, including a shot by Kuzinski in the 72
nd minute and an on-target shot by Schneider in the 85
th minute.

After a quiet first overtime period, the team combined for four shots in the second overtime. The first shot in the period was by Notre Dame's Katja Josipovic that sailed high above the crossbar and over the goal in the 104
th minute. With three minutes remaining, Blaising fired a high-percentage shot at Kennedy that was saved by the sophomore goalkeeper.

Fairmont State's lone scoring opportunity in overtime came off the foot of Kuzinski in the 109
th minute, but Pasalaqua came up with her seventh and perhaps most important save of the day.

With under a minute remaining in the second overtime, Alyssa Soltis took one more shot toward the Fairmont goal, but the attempt hit the crossbar and was cleared out by the Fairmont State defense to preserve the draw.

Fairmont State will return to action next Friday at the University of Charleston. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
