FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State University football program will pause team activities as a result of COVID-19 protocols, director of athletics Greg Bamberger announced on Monday evening.
 
As a result, the Mountain East Conference has announced the postponement of two upcoming game, including Saturday, March 20 against West Liberty, and Saturday, March 27 against Alderson Broaddus.
 
Fairmont State will work with the Mountain East Conference and the two institutions to pursue rescheduling opportunities.
