FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- The Fairmont State women's soccer team earned its second season win Wednesday with a 5-1 victory over Alderson Broaddus University. The Falcons even their record to 2-2 with the win.
Freshman
Tricia Lemasters struck first for the Falcons with a goal off a corner kick from sophomore
Jessica Schneider in the 23rd minute. Sophomore forward
Kiera Kuzinski tacked on the Falcons' second goal later in the first half.
Schneider added her own goal 12 minutes into the second half and another one in the 71st minute on an assist from senior defender
Angelina Kaylor. Kaylor would add yet another assist in the second half, this time to Kuzinski, who scored her second goal of the game with just over a minute left on the clock.
Junior goalkeepers
Taylor Kennedy and
Maya Rusnak would record a combined five saves (Kennedy 4, Rusnak 1) on the night for the Falcons.
Fairmont State's next game is away on Saturday, September 25 against West Liberty University at 1 p.m.
