FAIRMONT, W.Va. -- On Saturday afternoon, the Fairmont State men's and women's swimming teams swept Wheeling University and Alderson Broaddus inside the Feaster Center Pool. Prior to meet,

Majester Abdul-Jalil, and
Pedro Gaspar were all honored as part of the senior day festivities.
In all, Fairmont State Swimming registered 16 victories in 22 events on the afternoon.
Fairmont State Women's Swim got the first victory of the day for the Fighting Falcons in the 200 Yard Medley Relay. The team of
Alexis Antol, Delduque,
Kayla Fogle, and
Cheri Signorelli overtook Wheeling in a time of 2:01:44. The men's team followed up with the 200y medley relay where the team of
Alec Calloway,
Zackary Bishop,
Michael Miller, and Christopher picked up a first-place finish in a time of 1:50.40.
Salma Nuino Galan started her day with a first-place finish in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 11:45.01 as Falcon teammate
Kaitlyn Stumpf finished in a second with a time of 11:57.18. Nuino Galan collected her second individual win of the day in the 500 Yard Free with a time of 5:46.45. Nuino Galan joined her fellow Falcon teammates in the 400Y Free Relay to earn the top spot in the pool with a time of 4:04.28 as Kocsis, Stumpf, and
Zsofi Bevardi joined Nuino for the win.
Zsofi Bevardi continued her dominance in the pool with two individual wins in the 200y Free (1:59.62) and the 100Y Butterfly (1:01.55).
On the men's side,
Pedro Gaspar earned two individual victories inside the Feaster Center with wins in the 200Y Free (1:48.76) and 100Y Free (47.78).
Majester Abdul-Jalil picked up a win the 100Y Backstroke with a time of 58.27 as teammate
Tyler Virtue finished in second with a time of 1:00.94.
Fairmont State Men's Swimming rounded out the day with a time of 3:36.44 in the 400Y Freestyle Relay as
Josep Castan,
Nathan Harvey,
Kyle Carson, and Virtue joined together to earn the first-place finish.
Fairmont State Swimming heads to Canton, Ohio on February 16
th through February 19
th to compete in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference/ Mountain East Conference Swimming Championships.
