Frostburg, MD., -- The Football team falls on the road to Frostburg State 16-14. Fairmont State got off to a good start taking an early 7-0 lead but surrendered 16 unanswered points to ultimately fall 16-14.
Myles Miree continued his impressive 2022 campaign with a 19 yard touchdown run to give the Falcons an early 7-0 lead. His streak of 6 straight games over 100 yards ended this week as he finished with 53 yards rushing in 18 carries.
Connor Neal got the start at QB tonight but getting sprung into action was Junior
Josh Dale.
Josh Dale had 215 yards of total offense and a touchdown pass. Red Zone offense hurt the Falcons again this week though as they had an impressive 9 play 63 yard drive they couldn't cap off. Frostburg State's defense came up with a huge interception in the end zone to stop the Falcon offense from scoring any points.
Fairmont State kept battling and a
Josh Dale 3 yard touchdown pass to
Kobe Harris late made the score 16-14 Frostburg State with 2:39 left to play. The defense did their job and got a three and out to give the offense one more chance to get the win. The drive started off good when Dale ran right up the middle for an 18 yard gain to the Frostburg State 42 yard line. Fairmont State got another first down and had the ball all the way down to Frostburg State's 31 yard line. Frostburg State's defense came up with another huge play as they got a strip sack that pushed the ball back all the way to the 44 yard line. That play really stalled out the drive and Fairmont State turned the ball over on downs. It was another heartbreaking defeat as it was another one score loss.

Brocton Blair with 12 tackles and
